People's Artist of Kazakhstan, winner of the Ch.Valikhanov Kazakh SSR State Prize
Born on December 29, 1917 in Issyk (Enbekshi-Kazakh district, Almaty region). A Kazakh woman. In 1989 she graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. A cinema artist and a painter. Member to the USSR Union of Artists from 1951. Decorated with the Order the Badge of Honour and the Order of the Red Banner of Labour and a number of USSR medals.
Major works: Abay's portrait, a portrait of Tursun Raziyeva, a distinguished cutter of the footwear factory, portrait of a folk master B.Basenova, "a Mother-Heroine ", "A guest from the virgin soil lands", "We are proud of our times", "Karakoz"(still life), a portrait of Academician biologist N.O.Bazanova, a portrait of P.Tazhibayeva, a geology professor, a triptych "Virgin soil".

 Aubakir Ismailov,People's Artist of Kazakhstan, was born on January 1, 1913 in Telman district of Karagandy region. A Kazakh. In 1932 he graduated (4 courses) from the Moscow Arts Institute. Born on December 15,1929 in Almaty. A Kazakh woman. in 1949 she completed the Alma-Ata Art College studying at the studio of the People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR A. M Cherkassky and in 1956 graduated from the I.E. Repin Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Institute in Leningrad. She gained membership into the Artists Union of Kazakhstan in 1957. Lives and works in Almaty.
Hoids the titles of Peoples Artist of Kazakh SSR (1989), Honoured Artist of Kazakh SSR (1968), and holds the Orders of Honour, Friendship and Parasat. !n 2002 he was awarded the Tarlan prize for his contribution to art in the country.Gulfairus Ismailova belongs to the generation of masters of Kazakhstani fine arts, who took the scene in the later part of the 1950s and for a long time remained its nucleus. In life, it is rare to find a person that nature has generously blessed with beauty, intellect, voice, dramatic talent and the gift of painting. These are exactly the qualities that we find in Gulfairus Ismailova. After graduating from institute, she worked as an artist setting plays in theatres. In the early part of the 1970s she became the head artist of the Kazakh State Theatre for Opera and Ballet named after Abai.

Abylkhan Kasteyev,People's Artist of Kazakhstan, winner of the Ch.Valikhanov Kazakh SSR State Prize.Born on January 1,1904 in the settlement of Chizhin (Panfilov district, Taldy-Korgan region. Studied at N.G.Khludov's studio in Almaty.
One of the founders of painting art in Kazakhstan. Died on November 2,1973. The name of A.Kasteyev is assigned to the largest in the Republic State museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Decorated with the Order the Badge of Honour, with a Certificate of Honour of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, with several USSR medals. Died on May 19,1993.

A member to the USSR Union of Artists since 1956. Decorated with the Order the Badge of Honour, the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the Order of Friendship of the Peoples and with Certificates of Honour of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR.
